Dear all,
After a visit to a dear old friend , Chin Swee, I have the following to share ..
1) Chin Swee admitted into Selayang Hospital after coughing blood on Monday . This is the third time he is in and out of Selanyang Hospital ( One of the best reputed hospital for liver cancer treatments ) . It was serious enough to have the doctor put him into ICU as he has not been able to extricate the toxics out of his body for two days ( neither urine nor the other ) .
2) Could not consume anything as it would throw out whatever was devoured . Water consumption were very low ( as low as 50 ml a day!) as he woudl in the same way throw out large amount of water . So he is on drips and on tubes.
3) After been in the hospital for treatment two days he finally manage to pass out sufficient toxics to be concious. He could recognise me when I visited him this morning and could manage more intake of prune water . The wife is taking care of him in the most meticulous way .
4) Body temperature was on the low side ( 35.8C) but BP looks okay . at 119/90. The good news is that this cocky fella is fighting and is able to recover from this bout.
5) Now he is in the recuperating ward and needs lots of rest . I have conveyed that a lot of our friends cared for him but I think he would need all teh rest and peace of mind to fight this battle himself. We can be on the side lines to pray and hope he will be well and strong again . Now that the cancer has infected the kidney the process may be a bit disruptive and it is not expected to be an easy battle for him . I can see the pain . but I can also see the will to fight in him .
Like all of you out there I pray for him and his well being .. For the time being , I can only do that. the other thing that these matters constantly reminds me off is the importance of life and its upkeep. which then showers down to the importance of the bonds you have in this earthly place . AT times like this does material matter ? Is the mind clicking away like a cash register? or will the streams of blissful moments take center stage — the sour , sweet , bitter and the spicy ones( literally translated from mandarin meaning the life experiences. ) .
It is with my most sincere bit that I wish all my friends, relatives, enemies and all worldly beings the BEST OF HEALTH AND WELL BEING !
MAY ALL BE WELL AND HAPPY!
Best regards always..

Sad to hear the bad news of my close friend, Ching Swee’s health condition. It came as a surprise to me although I have noticed that he has thinned a lot. He didn’t hint a thing when we met in Ipoh in August 09.
After finding my dear friend again after 32 years, now I feel like starting to lose him again if he didn’t keep on fighting this dread disease. Oh God, why this befalls on my dear friend !
I hope he doesn’t give up easily and fight the war and win his life back !
I can’t write much as I am really very sad deep in my heart. My eyes is watery now, I have to stop.

Hi guys and gals,
It is so sad to hear our dear Ching Swee is in this condition. My heart really goes out for him.I met him at the reunion after a hiatus of 32 yrs and now to hear that he is so sick really frustrates me. It was as if our friendship was starting all over again and now this.
Let’s all pray for him. May the good Lord show mercy to him and also to our newly rejuvenated friendship.
Good to know Barry visited him and good to know he is fighting. He is a fighter all right. He has fought with me before in school.Let’s hope we get to fight another day.I am and will carry on praying for him.
The other thing is I hear Yoke Yun is coming home. All of us should try to meet her as this lady has settled in America and being Obama’s girl may not be able to visit us so often. We should not miss this opportunity to meet up with her.REMEMBER LIFE IS SHORT.We may not get another chance to meet her.(We have reached the ‘can die’ age.)
I hear she will be in KL and Sg Siput. All of u out there pls write in and let us all know how, where, when we can meet her. Those in KL can meet her there and those who want to see her in Sg Siput can see her here.My house is open to be used as a base of operations/hotel etc.
Pls guys ,esp the silent majority, write in to this blog and say something.Yoke Yun is coming with great hopes of meeting us and we are not going to disappoint her. Also remember she was class president of 5Sc 11 and those who are planning to be absent will get a big O in the register,so don’t play play.
Let,s get cracking.Bye.

Please include me and give me a call when Yoke Yun is in Sg Siput. Let us have your house address so we can meet there.
For the time being, sorry that I can’t crack jokes as I am really devastated and sad upon knowing Ching Siew’s critical condition.
Let us all pray hard for him to have a speedy recovery.

Hello Class of 77,
I just came back from visiting Ching Swee at Selayang Hospital. I also met Lim Jit Fu there.
He seems to be okay today and he is a figther. Lets all pray for his speedy recovery and to all of you in KL, if you can pay him a visit and show your support. His wife is doing a wonderful job looking after him but nevertheless your presents will certainly give her the extra strenght she needs.
” God please bless my friend Ching Swee with good health and help him with his fight. Thank you God”

Just put down my phone call to Mrs Loo and very happy to inform that Ching Swee is much better today. He is more responsive, alert and willing to drink and eat a little bit of soft food. He is still on the bed and quite weak to walk. Mrs Loo is in a jovial mood today after seeing her hubby recovering positively day by day. We too hope Ching Swee can recover and discharge earliest possible. He is winning the war. I am for sure damn happy too.

It is never easy to pen down your feelings when a close part of your history gets trn away . Unlike the Chan Ho Choon maths books, these bonds we have took part in building were life lasting . Although our friend Chin Swee may have found his way to the locks of the heavenly gates I am sure that he left with a heavy heart with friends and family all yearning for yet another day of his presence. This tough cookie leaves behind a loving strong wife, Sally ( I believe so that this is how she is called!) and three wonderful boys. Although not much we can do to prevent this departure, however heartbroken we may be , I believe we can only stay strong for those he left behind.. his love ones and his close friends , whereever they may be . May all of you put your hearts together with us to pray for a safe journey for this excellent man and his love ones.
May all be well and happy always.
The cortege leaves tomorrow for Cheras Crematorium at 12.00noon . Those who would like to pay thier last respects please do so . .. Those that cant be present hope you can all pray for this restful soul and and also his love ones to be well and happy always.
To Chin Swee ,
Your classmates will always remember you for your wit, your hard headedness, your industrious nature and most of all if not all . … YOU KINDNESS .. in life..
To the family,
Be well and happy always , if there is a need for helping hand , please let us know we will do our best to help our extended family of mss1977 where in need to the best of our capabilities.
To all dear friends,
Treasure life, Cherish your love ones and most of all Be well always…
Best Regards always .

Barry, please tag those blogs written by Ching Swee and please do not delete them. Those were his last jovial chatting with us, MSS 1977 fellows. I do really miss him and always recall the happy times we have in Ipoh few months back.
My dear friend, Ching Swee, I will always remember your wits & laughters, your look & funny expression and your generousity & kindness.
