Seng Yen and I had a discussion and Tom has sort of arranged for lunch in Ipoh for the Ipohites and Sungai Siputians. This means the Ipoh Sg Siput guys and girls will meet YY in Ipoh on the 28th Nov 09.YY called me and I have arranged to pick her up from the house and take her to Ipoh.
All those intending to join pls keep me or Tom or Seng Yen informed.
(PS:It was exciting hearing YY’s voice after all these years)
Oh by the way the KL menu sounds very scientific to me.I can only understand words like nasi goreng, mee rebus, roti canai, kuew tiaw and teh tarik. (must be the years spent in Sg Siput-that’s all we have here)

I totally agreed with Tasan on the food memu at The Olive. Sound delicious but exclusive to me.
I hope Yoke Yun prefers our town ” small fried” and the ” kampong smell delight” which she must have missed decades ago. She has gotten much of the “Big fish, big meat” already ! Hahaha

Chai u welcome to join us, we will be meeting in Puteri Mimi’s house at Kg Kepayang which is a few km out of Ipoh.
I suggest u contact Tom if u r in Ipoh. He will guide u. Or revert to me if u have any difficulties. The reason we meeting in Mimi’s place is cos it is Hari Raya Haji and Mimi can’t make it to Ipoh to see her long long lost friend so we decided to meet there.

The full name of K.S is ” KON SONG “. You will see the big signage KON SONG in blue in front of the building just opposite the Red Tide Cafe. It’s a pork free restaurant serving western /asian food (day/night) and steamboat (night only). Amy & hubby have tasted the food and said “Yummy, we like it, ahak ahak !”

Yes, Kon Song in chinese means “talk for fun” or chat leisurely. It’s a nice cosy place with quiet environment and suitable for our small re-union gathering.
Try it and you sure like it here.

The plan has changed. We are not having lunch at KON SONG Cafe or other restaurants. We are meeting at Puteri Mimi’s house at 12.00 noon on Sat, 28th November, 2009 to have lunch together there.
Remember Puteri Mimi’s house ? It’s located just opposite the Taman Herba. You take the route from Simpang Pulai to Kpg Kebayang and go further until you see a signboard with Taman Herba/Batu Gajah then upon seeing a traffic light , turn right and go straight until you see the Taman Herba on your right.
Call Puteri Mimi if you are lost on the way there at tel no. 019-5796442.
See you there. Puteri Mimi has prepared tons of delicious food for us.

Hello all,
Yes – Tom was right. There was tons of delicious food at Mimi’s home. And, Mimi, it was just as good as your mom’s!
I had a wonderful, wonderful time meeting up with you all in KL and Ipoh. Thank you for taking time from your busy schedule to get together. And, especially to those who planned, coordinated and hosted the gatherings. I would love to be able to reciprocate when and if you are in this part of the world. Just let me know.
Last but not least, here’s a quote I like to share:
Don’t walk in front of me, I may not follow.
Don’t walk behind me, I may not lead.
Walk beside me and be my friend.
–Albert Camus
Blessings & peace to you and yours,
yokeyun

This quote sound very similar to our Pak Lah famous quote.
Don’t work for me, work with me.
Now he is out of job?
